Some of my goals for semester two are to learn more about contemporary artists and base some of my work on their works. I would like to make more pieces similar to my choice project dish from semester one where I painted a sunset. I really enjoyed painting a sunset and would like to do more on a larger scale with that sort of design. I want to focus on making pieces that I can take home and either give as gifts or keep for myself. I enjoyed making slab pieces with darts so I may try experimenting with various sizes and numbers of darts for more pieces like that. By the end of the semester, I would like to be able to make a darted bowl or a series of darted bowls for my mom. I would use the ombre design to paint each of the bowls as well.
